Terms & Conditions of Booking & Payment

The Organiser. This training event (the "Event") is organised by Alexander Richman and Sanja Oakley (the "Organiser"). The Organiser is responsible for the proper performance of all travel services included in the booking under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangement Regulations 2018.

Booking & Payment

Deposit: A 40% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place.

Final Balance: The remaining 60% is due no later than 60 days before the event start date. Failure to pay the balance by this date may result in your place being cancelled without a refund of the deposit.

Cancellations & Substitutions
-
Cancellations more than 60 days before the event will receive a refund of any balance paid (minus the 40% deposit). Within 60 days, all payments are 100% non-refundable.

Substitution: In the event of unforeseen circumstances, you may transfer your booking to a colleague (provided they have completed EMDR UK's standard 7/8 day training) at no extra cost, up to 14 days before the event.

Travel & Insurance (Mandatory)

Flights/travel: This booking excludes flights. You are responsible for your own travel to Zadar Ferry Port at the stated time (see the Logistics section of the main workshop page). The Organiser is not liable for any costs incurred due to flight delays or cancellations. Nor is the Organiser responsible for any additional costs should you be unable to reach Zadar Ferry Port at the stated time.

Insurance: It is a condition of booking that you hold valid Travel Insurance covering medical emergencies and trip cancellation.

Force Majeure (Events Beyond Our Control). The Organiser shall not be liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performing, their obligations where such failure arises from causes beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, strikes, pandemics, war, or government travel restrictions. In such cases, the Organiser reserves the right to reschedule the event or provide a credit/partial refund minus irrecoverable costs already paid to third-party vendors (e.g. the hotel).

UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council). As registered members of the UKCP and HCPC, the Organiser shall abide by their code of ethics and complaints procedure. Records. As a condition of the Organiser's personal indemnity and insurance, we are required to keep your records for 5 years, after which they will be destroyed. The information we hold is kept to a minimum and safeguarded according to the General Data Protection Act 1998 and UKCP professional codes of practice. You have the right to inspect your records at any time.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction. It is a condition of this workshop that training is provided under English & Welsh Law, even if you are outside the UK at the time of supply. Each Party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with this Agreement or its subject matter.
